WFW boosts Middle East aviation and aerospace footprint with Dubai Counsel hire

  • Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) has appointed Igor Bichenkov as Counsel in its Dubai office, following 15 years at Clifford Chance

  • Bichenkov brings deep expertise in aviation finance and leasing, alongside experience in project and Islamic finance

  • His appointment strengthens WFW’s aviation capabilities in the Middle East, a key region for the sector

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) announces that aviation finance expert Igor Bichenkov has joined the firm’s Dubai office as Counsel, having spent the past 15 years at Clifford Chance in London, Moscow and Dubai.

Whilst Igor is recognised as an expert in aviation finance and leasing, he also has considerable experience working for financial institutions and sponsors in project finance, general banking, export finance, acquisition finance and Islamic finance.
