Robert van de Weg has been promoted by Volga-Dnepr Group to the role of senior vice president of sales & marketing.

He is responsible for the Group’s scheduled cargo operations and charter businesses covering AirBridgeCargo (ABC) Airlines, Volga-Dnepr Airlines and Atran Airlines, which between them, have a fleet of 16 Boeing 747s, 12 Antonov AN-124-100s, five Ilyushin IL-76TD-90VDs and three Boeing 737-400 Freighters.

Volga-Dnepr Group president, Alexey Isaykin says: “Robert is a highly respected air cargo executive both with our customers and in the wider industry. He has made a valuable contribution to the success of AirBridgeCargo and we expect this to continue in his new role for the Group. We wish him great success.”

Van de Weg joined ABC in May 2014 as senior vice president of marketing & sales, and has extensive experience in the aviation air cargo industries, having worked at KLM, Atlas Air and Cargolux.
