ST Aerospace lands 5 year MD-11 maintenance deal with Lufthansa

ST Aerospace has secured a five year exclusive MD-11 Heavy Maintenance Support contract from Lufthansa Cargo worth 39 million Singapore dollars ($30 million).

Under the agreement, ST Aerospace will become the sole service provider supporting the airline’s MD-11 fleet in both light and heavy C-checks starting from 2019.

The aerospace arm of ST Engineering has supported Lufthansa Cargo in heavy C-checks for its MD-11 fleet since 2014.

Lufthansa Cargo vice president of transport management & flight operation, Claus Richter says: “The professionalism and experience of ST Aerospace, especially in regards to MD-11 heavy maintenance, fits well with the performance expectation of Lufthansa Cargo and their customers. This long-term contract is another step in the fruitful partnership of both companies.”

ST Aerospace president, Lim Serh Ghee says: “This exclusive contract is an affirmation of the quality that ST Aerospace puts into its services and support. We greatly value the partnership we have with all our customers, whom we strive to develop long-term relationships with so that we can leverage the rapport built to create more value-add.”

The company is a major provider of commercial airframe Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) services, with a global network of facilities in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe capable of accommodating 40 widebody, 27 narrowbody and 24 general aviation aircraft simultaneously.
