Ram Menen among new independent directors at Expofreight

Expofreight (EFL) has welcomed three new independent directors to its international board including former Emirates divisional senior vice president – cargo, Ram Menen.

He is joining the board alongside Steve Dearnley, who has more than 35 years experience in the freight and logistics sector, and was chief executive officer of DB Schenker Asia Pacific before retiring in 2011, and the other director, Mike Sherman has worked for retail brands including Limited Brands, Abercrombie & Fitch and Sony.

All three carry a wealth of experience and EFL hopes this will help it expand globally as the company establishes itself as a major global logistics player.

EFL founder and president, Hanif Yusoof says: “Each of them comes from a different area of supply chain and their collective insights and knowledge will drive EFL towards the next stage of our ambitious plans. Their appointments are in line with our efforts to keep raising the bar towards developing innovative solutions and becoming more technology enabled.”

EFL CEO, S. Senthilnathan adds: “Over the years, we have worked with Ram, Steve and Mike in their various roles and seen them transform companies and make them global brands. We are excited to have them on board and engaging with them at this significant time in our journey.”
