American Airlines Cargo has promoted Jessica Tyler to vice president of strategy and development, focusing on technology and digital transformation.

Her organisation will focus on the future, looking at investing in the right technology and products, as well as leading American Airlines’ digital transformation initiative to replace 90 per cent of the legacy technology.

Tyler joined in 2012, where she led the team that merged the cargo division with US Airways, and prior to that she was a global product leader at performance management consulting company Gallup.

American Airlines Cargo president, Rick Elieson says: “In this position, Jessica will have the resources and support needed to implement our new, fully integrated technology platform as well as continue to develop our product and partnership strategy.

“Her extensive experience in technology integration, change management and product strategy are skills that make her an invaluable asset to this organisation and our long-term success.”
