dnata gains IATA CEIV Pharma at DWC

Cargo handler dnata has gained IATA CEIV Pharma certification at its Dubai World Central (DWC) facility.

The certificate at DWC complements accreditation at Dubai International, and joins its CEIV network in Amsterdam, Dallas, Singapore and Toronto.

Amsterdam, London, Manchester, Singapore and Zurich are all certified to GDP standards.

dnata has invested in infrastructure and equipment, with both DXB and DWC being designed with flexible handling requirements, taking advantage of the latest technologies.

The cold storage areas are modular, enabling teams to manage changing handling demands with dedicated climate control capability.

Cool dollies ensure the cold chain is not broken when transporting goods between the warehouse and the aircraft.

Bernd Struck, senior vice president UAE cargo and DWC airline services at dnata says: “We constantly enhance our operations to meet the growing demand, and invest in cutting-edge technologies to provide the highest possible value to our customers. The achievement of the prestigious CEIV certification at our DWC cargo hub demonstrates the quality and reliability of our services.”

Glyn Hughes, global head of cargo for IATA says: “We are delighted to recognise dnata’s cargo facility at Dubai World Central (DWC) as an additional CEIV Pharma certified entity, raising the bar in the industry with a commitment to quality and continuous improvements. I congratulate dnata on this achievement.”
