Arnaud Meunier closes an IATA chapter after 11 years

  • Arnaud Meunier has concluded an 11-year tenure at IATA, closing a major chapter in a 25-year career dedicated to digitalising air cargo.
  • A specialist in data-driven solutions, Meunier played a pivotal role in the evolution of TACT and the expansion of CargoIS, helping bring greater transparency, standardisation, and intelligence to global cargo operations. His work spanned major industry shifts — from e-commerce growth to the rise of predictive tools and standardised data exchange — and supported airlines and forwarders in adopting more modern, efficient practices.

After more than a decade shaping two of IATA’s most influential digital platforms — TACT and CargoIS — Arnaud Meunier has exited the association, marking the end of a pivotal chapter in a career spanning over 25 years in air cargo, data, and digital innovation.

Meunier, who joined IATA after earlier roles in operations and business intelligence, became one of the key architects behind the modernisation of TACT’s rate distribution ecosystem and the global expansion of CargoIS, now one of the industry’s most widely used market intelligence tools.

Reflecting on his journey, Meunier said: “What began many years ago with a fascination for aviation eventually became a career dedicated to air cargo, data, and digital solutions.”

He added that the experience was shaped not only by complex product work but by the people behind it: “What I will value most are the colleagues, customers, and partners who genuinely care about modernising air cargo and making progress happen — often under demanding circumstances.”

During his 11 years at IATA, Meunier worked through major shifts that reshaped global air logistics. The rapid rise of e-commerce, the acceleration of digital compliance requirements, and the emergence of predictive and data-driven tools all fundamentally changed how airlines and forwarders operate. Meunier helped guide TACT and CargoIS through this period, ensuring they remained central to pricing, benchmarking, and compliance processes across the industry.

He also played a stabilising role during challenging moments, including organisational restructuring and the turbulence caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the disruption, Meunier maintained his focus on strengthening digital infrastructure and data consistency — themes that have defined the industry’s next-phase evolution.

“Industry cycles, organisational change, and even a global pandemic — none of it diminished my commitment to the work or my respect for the people in this industry,” he said.
