Accelya unifies cargo and passenger technology on FLX ONE

  • FLX ONE Cargo offers a unified, cloud-native foundation for API-driven cargo retailing and operations.
  • Airlines gain enterprise-grade scalability, security, and shared innovation across cargo and passenger systems.
  • Muthupandi Nageswaran appointed VP of Technology to lead FLX ONE Cargo platform development.

Accelya announces a further strategic step in the evolution of FLX ONE Cargo, unifying cargo development onto the same FLX ONE technology foundation that powers its passenger retailing platforms. This move reinforces Accelya’s long-term investment in cargo as a core pillar of airline performance and platform strategy.

FLX ONE Cargo, launched in April 2025, is Accelya’s cloud-native cargo platform designed to support modern, API-driven cargo retailing and operations. By bringing cargo onto the same FLX ONE architecture used across passenger retailing, Accelya is aligning both businesses on a shared, enterprise-grade technology foundation already operating at global airline scale.

This unified approach enables airlines to benefit from consistent security, scalability, and cloud-native services across passenger and cargo operations, while fully respecting the distinct commercial, operational, and regulatory requirements of cargo. It also allows Accelya to accelerate innovation through shared platform services and a common operating model across its FLX ONE portfolio.

As part of this continued investment, Accelya has appointed Muthupandi (“Muthu”) Nageswaran as Vice President of Technology for FLX ONE Cargo, based in the UK. Muthu brings more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale platform development and digital transformation across global enterprises including WEX, SAP Concur, Oracle, IBM, and HP.

“Cargo is a core driver of airline performance and deserves the same resilient, enterprise-grade technology foundation as passenger retailing,” said Sam Gilliland, CEO of Accelya. “By unifying cargo and passenger technology on FLX ONE, and by continuing to invest in leadership and platform capability, we are giving airlines a modern, long-term foundation to evolve their cargo businesses with confidence.”

Accelya continues to fully support its SkyChain cargo management system for existing customers. FLX ONE Cargo is a separate, cloud-native platform designed for airlines seeking modern cargo capabilities built on the FLX ONE foundation, with flexible adoption paths that allow airlines to modernise at their own pace.

Accelya will share further updates on FLX ONE Cargo platform enhancements and customer progress throughout 2026.
