Menzies Aviation expands Sydney operations with third cargo facility

  • Menzies Aviation has opened its third cargo facility at Sydney Airport, a 5,000 sqm airside warehouse called ‘M1’, enhancing capacity to meet rising demand for temperature-sensitive and e-commerce freight.

  • The expansion brings Menzies’ Sydney footprint to over 20,000 sqm with a handling capacity of 250,000 tonnes per year, positioning it to capture more of the city’s 600,000-tonne annual air freight market.

  • The launch comes amid strong regional cargo growth, with Cathay Cargo and United Cargo already operational at M1, reinforcing Menzies’ strategy to scale globally through infrastructure investment and integrated logistics.
