Cathay Pacific has unveiled its new livery for its aircraft, showcasing it on one of its Boeing 777-300ERs [Extended Range].

The livery was unveiled at an event at Hong Kong International Airport attended by 300 guests, including the Hong Kong government’s secretary for transport and housing, Anthony Cheung. When Cathay Pacific starts receiving Airbus A350s, they will be painted in the new livery, while the existing fleet will get repainted during maintenance work over the next five years.

Cathay Pacific chief executive, Ivan Chu says: “The livery is a vital part of our brand image – a symbol of the company’s values displayed on our most important physical asset. The livery represents Cathay Pacific in and out of Hong Kong and every time our aircraft take off or touch down in our network of destinations around the world.”

The airline says the livery consists of an updated and streamlined brushwing and a simplification of the Cathay Pacific green, grey and white colours as well as making the company name more prominent.
