Saudia Cargo issued with EU GDP certificate

Saudia Cargo has been issued with European Union Good Distribution Practice certification for handling pharmaceuticals by SGS.

The certificate recognises Saudia Cargo’s storage and transportation services for pharma and medical cargo, having fulfilled and met all international requirements.

Abdulrahman Al-Mubarak, chief commercial officer of Saudia Cargo says: “This certificate recognises that Saudia Cargo maintains and complies with the quality management standards throughout the supply chain and applies efficient procedures and policies for receiving and handling pharmaceuticals and medical products without any risks.”

Saudia Cargo has enhanced medical warehouses and equipped its main stations with equipment and devices to control temperature.

The airline has also launched cold storage facilities for pharma and medical products at numerous stations, conforming with international standards of the World Health Organization and the European Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use, as well as the local standards of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
