EVA Air has appointed Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) as its cargo handling agent again, returning on 5 January 2018.

Hactl will provide all cargo handling services for the airline’s operations in Hong Kong, which include over 60 passenger flights and eight wide-body freighter flights per week.

The airline also plans to use the SuperLink China Direct road feeder services provided by Hactl subsidiary, Hacis, to extend its catchment to include the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region.

Hacis will be extending its network with a ninth depot in the western PRD, and in conjunction with the opening of the Hong Hong – Zhuhai – Macau bridge, this will reduce trans-PRD transit times by two thirds.

EVA Air general manager for Hong Kong, Peter Chang says: “It is a pleasure to return to Hactl, extending our long-term and highly-successful previous collaboration. We particularly look forward to using the Hacis road feeder services system to maximise our capacity utilisation.”
