Thomas Ogilvie joins Deutsche Post supervisory board

Thomas Ogilvie has joined the supervisory board of Deutsche Post as board member for personnel and labor director.

The former executive vice president – corporate development will take over responsibilities from Melanie Kreis from 1 September 2017, who will focus on her role as Group CFO.

Deutsche Post DHL Group chief executive officer, Frank Appel says: “Thomas Ogilvie has very successfully held important operational and corporate management positions in the priority areas of e-commerce and digitalisation which will shape the future of our industry.”

“I am confident that his knowledge and experience will help us to further develop our HR function and our employment practices appropriately in a period of digital transformation.”

Ogilvie joined the company in December 2001 with the Market Research Service Center at Deutsche Post Consult, and has worked in a number of roles across the company, becoming executive vice president – corporate development in January 2016.
