Kuehne + Nagel opens Aberdeen facility for oil and gas industry

Kuehne + Nagel has opened an 11,000 square metre facility in Aberdeen specialising in services for the oil and gas industry.

The facility, which has been fully operational since the end of March 2017, is close to Aberdeen Airport and Aberdeen Harbour and will offer international freight forwarding and integrated supply chain services to the oil and gas industry as well as seafreight, airfreight and overland freight.

Kuehne + Nagel UK national manager, Marcus Bennett says: “Complex logistics tasks for the Oil & Gas industry demand precisely tailored solutions. Here our new Aberdeen branch has a crucial role to play. Our customers will benefit from enhanced services, as we strengthen our global Oil & Gas network with a dedicated European Hub.”

Due to its location with links to the North Sea, Aberdeen is Europe’s access point to the oil and gas industry, and the city exports globally and is renowned as Europe’s oil and gas hub.
