Schiphol is one of the busiest cargo airports in Europe, handling over 1.6 million tonnes of cargo in 2015 on its five runways. The 13-strong group of companies including airlines, forwarders and handlers making up Schiphol Cargo Pharma Gateway Amsterdam are well on their way towards gaining IATA CEIV Pharma certification.

Van Stekelenburg joined the Schiphol Group in 2002, holding a number of key posts before taking over as head of cargo in 2015.
